This happened in 2007 when I received a letter from the society . But the society till date never initiated legal action till date. Finally , I initiated legal action against the society.

As I was walking from my two wheeler towards my clinic I saw Mr. X……..
Although I have known him for many years we never smiled at each other. Whenever we met there was not even a sign of recognition. Although his entire family had come to me for dental treatment many years back.
Now when he saw me he gave a wicked , cunning and a cheap smile. That left me perplexed. Why did this fellow smile and that also a wicked , cunning and a cheap smile ? He never did that for so many years that I had known him and I see him many times a week.
The next day I saw Mr. Y…….. in the same situation. My relations with Mr. Y…….. were better than that with Mr. X…….. But we never smiled at each other or even if we did it was a very brief smile. We also see each other many times a week.
He also gave me a large wicked, cunning and a cheap smile. Now that left me even more perplexed. What was happening ? Why has everyone started smiling at me? And that also a wicked , cunning and a cheap smile!!
The reason became clear within the next two days. I received a letter from the society asking threatening legal action. As I opened the envelope and saw the notice I regretted it but even for a split second I did not panic. Neither was I afraid. I had resolved to fight it out with the society long before. While it is everybody’s duty to pay the society dues the society office bearers cannot impose fines and frivolous charges on you and thereafter charge compound interest on you.
As I write this blog in Jan 2022 the society office bearers could not initiate legal action against me. They knew that they had done mischief. Finally, I initiated legal action against the society.
The very same afternoon I met Mr. Y……… I told him “ I received the notice. What was the need for it ? You could have just asked me and I would cleared of all dues. Now I will reply through my lawyer. “
Mr. Y……..s countenance withered and crumbled . He said “ I do not know . I am an office bearer but I am not involved in the day to day functioning of the society.
Life whispers before it screams. You need to track the behaviour of those with whom you live , with whom you work and with whom you interact daily. If they intend to back stab you will find subtle or gross changes in their behaviour from some time before. They may not even be aware of their own behaviour.
The same could happen with a spouse who intends to cheat or a son or a daughter who is lying to you.
The body language never lies. You can never hide it. To succeed in life you must be able to interpret your own as well as the body language of those with whom you interact.
The society office bearers levied fines and extra frivolous charges on me for decades and charged compound interest on it. I have faced threats of physical assault from office bearers and constant abuse, bad words and shouting from office bearers whenever I tried to sort out the matters.
The legal case is still going on and I have resolved that come what may I will fight till the end. While it is everyone’s duty to pay his dues but that does not give the societies office bearers to impose fines, frivolous charges as per their whims and fancies and thereafter charge compound interest on it.
